Friday the 13th… foggy start – turning misty – autumnal
I now begin to investigate the stretch between the Albert Dock and John Lennon Airport, section by section …
11 sites identified and evaluated in 6 miles of weaving up and down the streets running off Sefton Street, L8.
Many of these sites were next to one another.
One had been taken advantage of by an enterprising person, or persons – there was evidence of cabbage growing – and leeks and carrots too.
Another, a space in between warehouses, jam cram packed with the butterfly bush, Budlea. A green lung for the city and a birdcage without a roof. From within this sanctuary the songs of Blackbirds and Tits phases in and out as you walk the distance from brick built building past the caged garden to next brick building. An incongruous audiovisual experience amongst a blue-collar emporium.

Hi Kerry, really enjoying reading your accounts of liverpools brownfields. Is there any chance (within the constraints of blogspot formatting) to produce a summary of your evaluations?
