I came to the conclusion that it would be fare reach a compromise – Regents Road would be dangerous to cycle in these conditions – too many lorries driving too fast, too many deep puddles, and a slippery oil sheen road surface.
I headed towards Bankhall Train Station having decided that the small streets would be safer to navigate.
It is said that there is no such thing as bad weather – just inappropriate clothing. So donned in my super sexy grey cagoule and waterproof trousers stuffed into my socks, I set of just as the clouds disperse and a tiny ray of sunshine brakes through – great - the rain subsides!
